Only in Ogden

Ogden will be the only U.S. city with direct mass transit from an international airport to the slopes, and the only major U.S. city directly connected to a ski resort. The mountain resort will start with a vertical drop slightly longer than Brighton Resort. With land approval from the Forest Service, the resort will be home to the longest vertical drop in the United States. New ski trails from Malan’s Basin to the Mt. Ogden Golf Course will allow skiers to go from the mountain top into the city for about two mid-winter months.

This development will make WSU the only university in the world connected to a year-round resort. Students could literally rock climb or ski between classes. If this were to attract just one thousand new out-of-state students it would bring Weber State University $9 million in new funds annually! More students from all over the world would

enrich campus life and diversity. The proceeds from the sale of University property above 36th street can be applied to a number of campus needs, including the purchase of buildable land or constructing additional parking facilities.
